Explore beautiful AlUla and discover as many artifacts as possible
Keep a record of them in your AlUla Journal
Inside the Pod, you'll see your hands
Just use them to reach out and interact with the virtual world
You'll be riding on the XRT
A secret new technology, a solar powered all terrain vehicle that can drive, float and fly!
The XRT's onboard A.I. will guide you on your mission
It talks to you as you explore
You control the XRT
You can start or stop. Plus you can choose a path - just lean your body right or left
The XRT drives, floats and flies!
It helps you navigate sand and bumpy rocks on the ground. It floats gently in the sky giving you an amazing view over AlUla. Plus its jet mode get your quickly around
Simply press the big button to start or stop!

Use your hand-held scanner
Just point and click to identify artifacts and capture them for your journal. Each one includes key facts about your discovery
Among the incredible artifacts you can discover:
- Nabataean pottery
- Ancient jewelry
- Islamic, Paleolithic and Ottoman era weapons
- Inscriptions from the Lihyanite period
- Modern-day wildlife
- Landmarks through time
- Contemporary flora and fauna
Your first stop is Alfarid, a remarkable example of the tombs carved into rock in this region during the Nabataean period
You get here late afternoon, just as a storm is circling overhead. You can fly which gives you a rare chance to see Alfarid from above
The sun will be setting as you arrive at Elephant Rock (Jabal Al Feel)
You're doing well keeping ahead of that storm!
You can choose to explore to the left or the right of Elephant Rock, or even go right through the middle of that iconic arch!
You arrive at Old Town (Ad-Deerah) above the Musa bin Nasayr Castle as night falls
You need to explore quickly now, that sandstorm is approaching fast!
Explore the historic mud-brick and stone houses of Old Town
Choose to go through the town or over the roofs, parts of which are more than 2,000 years old, navigating your pathway and discovering more hidden artifacts for your Journal
When you're done, review all of the artifacts you discovered in your Journal
How many did you manage to collect? There are hundreds hidden throughout AlUla
